Dance... and WEST SIDE STORY!! SQUEE!

I seriously need to quit making obsessive posts about this 50 year old movie/broadway show.  But I can't help it.  Just when I'm becoming less obsessed, I do something like- I don't know, order the book.  I read the preview of the book-- it's HILARIOUS.  It sounds like some crap I would write!  I love it.  I can't wait until I get it!  The descriptions are great, and the coarseness completely spells New York.  That's one of the reasons I like New Yorkers so much- they are so straight forward.  I like that.  Maybe it's a Northern thing.  I'm from Michigan, so I have that Northern humor that Southerners here in Tennessee don't really get.  (Oh well!)

Not only that, I've been learning (from the video of course) how to do the Mambo dance.  It's so fun!  I am probably the only one weird enough to learn it.  Ok, never mind.  My other friend is obsessive enough like me to learn the dance- and my sister too.  So we can all do the little part in which Maria meets Tony.

I could hardly sleep today- I kept waking up every hour.  I really hate that.  I get like anxious every time I know I have to be somewhere.  Getting people to leave on time in this house though... It's like prodding cows or trying to move donkeys or something.  I do it all.  My mom can be such a flake and is a complete airhead when it comes to being somewhere on time.  I have to get all bossy and start grabbing her purse and keys and her shoes for her like she's four or something.  Only then, can we barely get there on time. I'm so under-appreciated.  LOL.

I had to teach the kidlets at dance today.  It went ok.  A lot of people are sick, so they aren't coming like usual.  That's alright.  Hailey, a kid in my class, is fantastic.  Her parents come up to me all the time, with a concerned glint in their worried eyes.  "Is she doing alright? Because she's really shy- even at home!" I assure them that she is doing fine.  I don't really see Hailey as being shy to tell you the truth.  She's just quiet.  Nothing wrong with that. It's not like she's vacant.  She's thinking and observing.  You never learn much by talking, but you can learn a lot from listening.  I was an exceptionally quiet child myself, and I don't consider myself too shy.

In Pre-Ballet, Morgan was doing fantastic.  She even remembers to do her finish and everything! Sigh, and those feet!  Perfect!!  Carolina is another one.  I can't imagine someone being so great at four years old as she is.  I'm jealous! lol!

I had my own class afterward.  Luckily it wasn't too extreme.  Chelsea still had a head cold- so maybe she went light on us- I don't know.  Madison takes barre, since she's 12 and it's not really her class.  She's still in Ballet II.

She's good though.  She looks like a little Barbie doll or something.  She has such a great personality- I love her! We like to kid around, She says to me with some attitude, "You can't do it like I can!" and I replied smartly, "You're right, I do it better!" She laughed and rolled her eyes giving me 'the hand'.

    It's an odd relationship.

After class, I ran through Sugarplum.  Then Chelsy did Dew Drop- which needs some work.  This was some Chelsea bonding time.

After she left, we (me, sister Chelsy, and granny) were stuck at the studio waiting for ma to come back (she had an appointment with her personal training client) and so I danced around to Portishead, improving a hilarious dance- with help from choreography from the Nutcracker.

Then, we moved into the hallway of the Old Highschool and I sang "Tonight".  It has some GREAT acoustics in that building.  When ma came, we dropped off this cruddy movie that we rented at Red Box - called something like 'into the wild'- basically some hippy tale- it was lame.

Oh, speaking of the TV room, my mom got yet another annoying clock that is loud and noisy.  First it was that damn musical thing that plays stupid sounding songs every hour that last for about 2 minutes- it's like when Pinhead gives his announcement that the store is closing at Borders for 4 minutes.  I try to explain to her that the racket is intrusive when you are trying to watch a movie.  She's obsessed with clocks, which is kind of ironic since she's never on time for anything.  You would think that she would look at at least one of them to check the time, ya know?  This clock is even worse than the musical one (which I turned off the noise without her permission- she probably thinks it's broken or something- she can be rather ditsy about such things).  This clock has a terrible "CLICK CLOCK" noise constantly.  YUCK!  I really hate clocks.  I don't even wear a wrist watch.  But I'm always on time.  I just have better management skills, I guess.

OK, Back on subject- we went to Target after that and staggered around there for the last 30 minutes before they "closce" (the woman that announces the closing of the store has a weird accent).

And then, we came home.  Watched Heroes.  It was alright.  Oh, but I heard that they fired their two executive producers after an article in Entertainment weekly that said the show was goin' down.  That's drastic, isn't it? I skipped through the Twilight special preview-- god people! the show comes out in like a week-  I heard they even put the finale scene up on the internet.  Why even go to the theater if they put the whole movie on the internet before it's even out?  LAME!

I have been good.  I haven't looked at any of it.  Who would want to see all those spoilers?  Spoilers SUCK!
